Nelly and Ashanti – who have been romantically linked since the 2000s – are fueling romance rumors again after they were spotted together in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
The duo sat at ringside for the boxing match between Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia, with many of their fans taking to social media to weigh in on their potential rekindled romance.
Although Nelly, 48, and Ashanti, 42, appeared to keep a low profile during the actual fight, video footage from the event showed the musicians holding hands as they left the venue.
“Yo mo! I know we don’t really agree either, but from little brother to big brother STOP GAMBLING AND MARRY THAT WIFE BRO! fellow rapper Bow Wow wrote in the comments section of an Instagram post from The Shade Room.
“You like 50 😂 sit down old ass 😂😂😂😂😂 she’s your queen.”
Many agreed with the “Bounce With Me” rapper, writing things like, “They’re definitely back together,” “As long as she doesn’t let him ruin another 10 years of her life. That’s what I’m here for.” and “I think we all want them to get married already.”
Another chimed in, writing, “At this point, why not! But Nelly better get that ring. Yesterday’s price is NOT today’s price 😂.”
Nelly and Ashanti have yet to publicly confirm or deny whether they are officially back – or just good friends in the industry. However, this is certainly not the first time they have faced romance rumors in recent months.

Following their steamy stage performance of “Body On Me” in December 2022, Ashanti opened up about her relationship with Nelly while appearing on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” the same month.
“My reaction was, ‘Wow.’ There were a lot of comments and a lot of people wanted this (to get us back together),” she said at the time, reacting to fans who saw her rubbing shoulders with her former flame after her split from Shantel Jackson in 2021.
“What I will say is that we are in a better place. You know, because before it was like (imitates the fight). But we’re cool now. Yeah, we have conversations, you know. So that’s cool.
Cohen continued to press Ashanti on the subject, asking, “But you’re not getting back together?”
The “Foolish” singer struggled for words, simply replying, “I mean, I don’t…”
Representatives for Nelly and Ashanti did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
The duo previously had a long history of staying tight-lipped about the terms of their relationship over the years. However, Ashanti admitted in a 2014 interview with “Sway in the Morning” that Nelly was her first true love.
“It’s a very small industry. Are we going to see each other? Yeah…I’m not bitter,” she later told Hot 97.
“I feel like being in a relationship is like ping pong. Sometimes you love them, sometimes you hate them. That’s a real statement, everyone goes through it.
