MoneySign Sweden dead at 22

Rapper MoneySign Suede was found dead of an apparent stab wound in prison, according to TMZ.
The up-and-coming Los Angeles-based rapper had been laid to rest at the Correctional Training Center in Soledad, California.
Jail officials told the publication they were investigating MoneySign Sweden’s death as a homicide.
The rapper (born Jaime Brugada Valdez) was reported missing after a count was made Tuesday evening around 9:55 p.m.
The sources said the rapper was later found in another part of the prison, where he was allegedly tried to perform CPR.

However, he was unresponsive and was later pronounced dead at 10:20 p.m.
Since his death, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation has announced that the prison is restricting the movement of prisoners.
The Monterey County District Attorney’s Office is currently investigating the rapper’s death, while the Monterey County Coroner is working to determine the cause of his death.
In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, MoneySign Sweden attorney Nicholas Rosenberg said he was told his client was stabbed in the neck in the shower.
A prisoner who spoke to the newspaper anonymously noted that the rapper was discovered in a part of the prison housing general population prisoners.
He said it was unusual because a rapper would typically be housed in the Sensitive Needs yard, which is for prisoners who have specific security fears or have public profiles.
However, the rapper was early in his career, so it’s unclear if his profile was high enough to warrant this kind of protection.
