“I don’t know if age matters”

Jon Bon Jovi thinks his kids give love a good name.

The Bon Jovi frontman recently spoke to Andy Cohen about his son’s engagement to “Stranger Things” star Millie Bobby Brown.

Jake Bongiovi, who turns 21 on May 7, made it official with Brown, 19, last month, announcing their impending union in joint Instagram posts.

“Are you worried about them being too young?” Cohen asked Bon Jovi, noting that the Jersey singer was very young himself when he met his wife, Dorothea Hurley Bongiovi.

However, the situation was a little different. The high school sweethearts, who met at Sayreville War Memorial High School in Parlin, waited to get married, marrying in 1989, when they were in their late twenties.

“I don’t know if age matters,” Bon Jovi, 61, told Cohen in an interview for “Andy Cohen Live” on SiriusXM’s Radio Andy. “If you find the right partner and grow together, I think that would be my advice, really…growing together is wise.”

Both Bongiovi and Brown are one of four children. Her siblings are Romeo Jon Bongiovi, 19; Jesse Bongiovi, 28; and Stephanie Rose Bongiovi, 29.

Bon Jovi noted that three of his children are now engaged.

“I think all of my kids have found the people they think they can grow up with and we all love them,” he said.

“Millie is wonderful,” he continued. “His whole family is awesome – really, really awesome. Jake is very, very happy.

Jake, model and actor, is a Pennington School alumnus whose Hollywood career is on the rise. He has roles in the upcoming films “Sweethearts” (which shot in Jersey City, Cranford and Mahwah) and, fittingly, “Rockbottom,” which is about the comeback of an ’80s hair metal band called CougarSnake.

“Forever,” Jake captioned his engagement announcement on Instagram, sharing photos of the couple embracing.

His Emmy-nominated fiancée for ‘Stranger Things’ used Taylor Swift’s words to relay the news.

“I’ve loved you for three summers now, honey, I want them all,” Brown said in April, quoting the song “Lover” in a post with photos of the happy couple and their ring.

“I love you more than words can describe,” Bongiovi said in a previous post wishing Brown a happy 19th birthday. “Everything in you is golden to the core.”

Jake’s older brother Jesse Bongiovi – founder of Hampton Water, the rosé brand he shares with his father Jon Bon Jovi – got engaged to reality TV producer Jesse Light last year.
