since 2015, Amazon hosted at least one Prime Day per year. It’s the annual sale event where the retailer slashes the prices of thousands of products on its online storefront. Prime Day, over time, became two full shopping days instead of one, and in 2022 there were two Prime Day events, one in the summer and one in the fall (because the money). This year’s Prime Day event falls on July 11 and 12, starting at 3 a.m. EST.
You need to be a Prime subscriber to take advantage of the discounts (here’s a 30-day free trial; set a reminder to cancel it before it automatically renews), but there are plenty of offers for anyone who isn’t a member . WIRED will be looking for the best deals throughout the event, but there’s good news: the price drops have already started. We’ve rounded up the best Prime Day deals we’ve found here – from Amazon and other retailers – and we’ll keep this story updated over the coming weeks. Our Prime Day buyer’s guide is packed with tips to help you navigate the event like a pro.
Update June 24, 2023: We’ve added new offers and removed old ones.

Technology offers
The Apple Watch Series 8 (8/10, WIRED recommends) is our favorite Apple Watch. (The 41mm version is also on sale for $329.) Most people will be fine with the new second-gen Watch SE, but this model features an EKG, always-on display, skin temperature sensor for better period tracking, a more accurate heart rate monitor, and the ability to measure blood oxygen levels. Check out our guide to the best Apple Watch accessories to get the most out of your smartwatch.
This bundle includes the Pixel Buds A-Series (our favorite wireless headphones) for the same price as the all-new Pixel 7A, which is our favorite Android phone for most people (8/10, WIRED Recommends). The phone is powerful, it has wireless charging and a nice bright display – oh, and some of the best cameras you’ll find for the money. It will be supported for years to come, so you won’t have to upgrade anytime soon.
The Samsung Galaxy Buds2 (9/10, WIRED Recommends) are some of the best wireless earbuds around, especially if you have an Android phone. They are comfortable and offer excellent sound quality as well as active noise cancellation. We wish the battery lasted longer, but otherwise they’re hard to beat, especially for the price.
You will need a Prime membership to take advantage of this offer. If you’re looking for a speaker for a kid, the Amazon Echo Dot Kids (5th Gen) is one of the best choices. It offers music and audiobooks and a free year of Amazon Kids+ (usually $3 per month) which features content designed for kids ages 3-12 and exclusives from brands like Disney, Lego and Marvel.
This is one of the lowest prices we’ve tracked on this SSD. You can insert it into your PC if you have an M.2 drive or a PlayStation 5 to expand your storage. Other storage sizes are on sale, as is the heatsinkless version. This one packs a lot of storage and is super fast – we recommend it in our How to Build a PC guide.
Clip the coupon on the page to see the discount at checkout. We love Anker’s MagSafe wireless chargers. This doubles as a power strip for your office or living room. It has three rear AC outlets, two USB-A ports, and two USB-C ports, one of which is capable of delivering 65 watts of power (enough to charge a MacBook). Julian Chokkattu, editor of WIRED, has been using it for a year without issue.
Our favorite portable tablet charger can fully charge an 11-inch tablet twice, while being slim enough to fit in the padded sleeve of most backpacks. (It can also charge a laptop in a snap, though it won’t work for something powerful like a MacBook Pro.) It has both a USB-C and USB-A port and an LED screen that shows you the percentage of remaining power. in the bank.
Home & Entertainment Deals
The price drop will only appear when you add the product to your cart. This is the first and best discount we’ve seen for the new installment of The Legend of Zelda series. Play as Link and search for Princess Zelda to uncover the mysteries of the kingdom in the sky. It is very similar to breath of the wild but offers many quality of life improvements. We’ve never tried these oven mitts before, but we’ve had great experiences with KitchenAid products, and $7 is $7. These are the mini type, which means they only really cover your fingers when handling hot objects. They are better suited for removing small pans from the stove rather than carrying a hot pan inside when grilling. The silicone grip will help you keep a firm grip on anything you move.
It’s our favorite budget office chair, and it often drops at that price. The breathable mesh fabric means you won’t get too hot in the seat, plus it comes with a headrest. There are lots of adjustable components and it reclines.

This is our favorite mesh Wi-Fi option for people with larger homes. It is a 3-pack and offers three gigabit Ethernet ports on the main router and two on the nodes. Setup can be tricky, but once you’re up and running the speeds, coverage and stability are excellent. For more, check out our guide to the best mesh Wi-Fi systems.
Just want a single cup of coffee? The Braun MultiServe coffee machine (8/10, WIRED Recommends) can brew you a full pot of coffee or brew a single cup, making it the best of both worlds between regular coffee machines and a Keurig. Bonus: It has a rare certification from the Specialty Coffee Association.
Amazon will automatically discount your order at checkout when you spend at least $50 on certain items. There’s a huge selection in this sale, with items ranging from pet food and school supplies to pantry staples and household essentials. Need to restock your dish soap, granola bars, doggy bags or vitamins? It is worth checking out this offer.
Personal care offers
The Dyson Corrale (8/10, WIRED recommends) delivers fantastic, silky results even on super curly hair, but that performance comes at a price. That’s why seeing it on sale right now is even more exciting.
This cheap electric toothbrush is even cheaper right now. The Philips One is thin enough to feel like a regular toothbrush and has gentle vibrations if you’re not looking for something powerful. It comes with a small case for travel. Some colors are on sale.

Other stores have started offering competing deals that don’t require an Amazon Prime membership (and more likely will). Here is a list of merchants likely to take part in the action.
